Natalie Clohesy is the founder, owner and principal clinician of Northside Chiropractic Clinic and she was awarded 2022 Chiropractor of the year (Australian allied health awards). She has a PhD from Central Queensland University (CQU) Brisbane and a double degree in Chiropractic and Science, graduating with honours from Murdoch University, Perth.
Upon graduation Natalie was presented with two prestigious awards; The Chiropractor’s Association of Australia (CAA) “Australian Graduate of the Year Award”, based on her academic achievements and demonstration of clinical skills and the “Clinical Excellence” award from the Chiropractic Education Australia association (CEA). This award entitled her to continue her post graduate studies, completing a university qualification in education. She lectures in the field of Anatomy and Physiology, Chiropractic and is an expert in the field of Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs).
Natalie has completed further training and certifications in, Activator Methods, Active Release Techniques® Full Body Certified (Upper, Lower & Spine), Advanced Dry Needling, Kineisotaping techniques, Scoliosis assessment and management, Shockwave therapy, SOT & CMRT Series and Thompson Terminal Point Technique.

Within practice, Natalie has a special interest in sports injuries, rehabilitation and assisting sports people to obtain optimum performance. Natalie’s passion for sport begun as an athlete herself and that has shaped her professional career as a Sports Chiropractor, working with numerous athletes and sports teams. Natalie has earned a Fellow Sports & Exercise Chiropractor (AICE) with having also completed the ICSC- Federation of International Sports Chiropractic Certificate, ASCA L1, Cert III/IV & Diploma in personal training and fitness, Titleist Medical Golf Professional Level 1, SFMA and is member of Sports Medicine Australia. She has worked at many different events including; Athletics Australia meets, World floorball championships, Australian Women’s Volleyball Tour, Australian Beach Volleyball championships and Western Australian state touch rugby championships.

Natalie is on the board of directors for Chiropractic Australia and a member of the Australian Chiropractors Association (ACA), Sports Chiropractic Australia (SCA), Australian institute of Chiropractic Education (AICE), Chiropractic Australia (CA), Federation of International Sports Chiropractors (FICS). She also reviews papers for a number of international journals.

Sophia Lawton graduated with distinctions from the Bachelor of Science (Chiropractic) and the Master of Clinical Chiropractic from CQUniversity in Brisbane. 

During her final year of studies she presented her Masters research at the National COCA Research Day. She also had the opportunity to spend two weeks in Vanuatu on a mission trip providing chiropractic care to all age groups in remote schools and villages. 

Sophia has a dental background, graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Oral Health. She then worked from the dental vans as an Oral Health Therapist providing dental care for children ages 4-18 years of age in Toowoomba and Caloundra before moving back to Brisbane to work as a Dental Hygienist throughout her chiropractic studies.

She prides herself on a gentle approach to care and aims to provide a stress free environment for all patients. She is passionate about education and assisting people with taking control of their own health. She enjoys problem solving and is willing to collaborate with other healthcare providers to help her patients achieve results. In her spare time Sophia enjoys hiking, swimming, cycling and a good game of tennis.

Luke Hansen graduated with distinctions from the Bachelor of Science (Chiropractic) and Master of Clinical Chiropractic at CQUniversity in Brisbane.  Prior to and throughout his chiropractic studies Luke worked as an acupuncturist and remedial massage therapist in Brisbane, holding an Advanced Diploma of Acupuncture (2010) and a Diploma of Remedial Massage (2008). As a former elite gymnast Luke understands the dedication and effort required to maintain optimum health and performance and has a keen interest in the management of sports injuries and injury prevention. Luke is also passionate about helping everyday patients with achieving their individual healthcare goals and activities of daily living.

With his chiropractic, acupuncture and soft tissue background Luke looks to provide
a multi-modality approach to care for all musculoskeletal conditions. As well as being
an allied health professional, Luke has worked part-time as a phlebotomist in hospitals and community clinics for over eight years and has an appreciation for a multi-disciplinary approach to care.

Jan Wanklyn


Jan has been a qualified massage therapist since 1991 and has extensive experience in all things human movement. Jan is a former professional triathlete; with both IRONMAN and Marathon wins. Jan is the lead Instructor Active Release Techniques (ART) Australia and head ART co-ordinator for Asia Pacific region.

Jan’s philosophy aims to help educate and continue to be educated. She is dedicated to life long learning by keeping up to date with current developments in the industry, regularly attending and presenting conferences, participating in seminars and online learning.

In clinic Jan applies an all-around approach including physical assessment, diverse treatments options, rehabilitation and lifestyle advice.


Chiropractic assistant (CA)

Colleen is our friendly clinic office manager and Chiropractic Assistant, she does an amazing job of keeping the clinic running smoothly. Her roles span from maintaining the accounts to assisting the Chiropractor during consults, she is our master multi tasker. Colleen has been part of the team since day one. Her previous career was within the hotel and travel industry.

In her personal life Colleen enjoys time with her grand kids, sewing, theatre and travelling the globe. Be sure to say hi when you see her around the clinic.

Megan joins Northside Chiropractic Clinic with an extensive background in the health industry and has vast experience as a Dental practice manager. Megan’s forte is patient care and our technology-based services. Megan is currently studying a Diploma of Business relating to the Healthcare industry and looks forward to developing and implementing practice policies to benefit the clinic moving forward.

Erin has joined Northside Chiropractic Clinic coming from a background in finance and marketing. She is a computer wiz and will be assisting to manage the clinics IT needs.  Erin has a special interest in natural health care and furthering her knowledge in that area. In her free time she enjoys travel and particularly enjoys exploring Tasmania.

Jean come from a background as medical receptionist and customer services. She has also worked extensively as a school librarian; these skills have been transferrable and are utilised in our clinic administration systems. In her role she is applies information regarding patient education relating to health and wellness. Jean enjoy patient interaction and patient services.
